Cycling race in honor of the "Pirate"
Saturday 17 September 2022 Cesenatico will see the return of the Pantani Memorial , the race dedicated to the Cesenatic "Pirate".
It is a men's road cycling race organized by GS Emilia in the province of Forlì-Cesena
A few months after Pantani's death in 2004 and thanks to a stage of the Giro d'Italia in Cesena, the idea was created to create an event reserved exclusively for professionals with the aim of celebrating this great and beloved athlete.
The starting point is Cesenatico, the birthplace of Pantani, or other neighboring cities and then usually ending in Cesenatico, after having retraced part of his training sites, such as the Sorrivoli Wall, the Salita dei Gessi and the ascent of the Madonna del Mountain.
